The Grafton Trail of Bears is a town-wide public art and photo trail in Grafton, New Hampshire created by local businesses and community organizations.
Beginning in spring 2026, large hand-painted bear boards will begin appearing at businesses and community locations across town. Visitors will be able to follow a printed trail map, stop at each bear, take photos, and discover more of what Grafton has to offer along the way.
Many of the bear locations will also appear on our interactive business map, helping visitors find nearby shops, farms, and services while exploring the trail.
The Trail of Bears is designed to be simple and fun for visitors of all ages.
Visitors can follow the trail map, stop at each location hosting a bear, and explore local businesses along the way. Some bears will be artistic displays, while others may include playful face-in-the-hole photo boards for visitors to enjoy.
Each bear is designed by the business or organization hosting it, which means every stop on the trail will be a little different.
Installation of the first bears will begin in spring 2026.
The official trail map and launch details will be released once the first group of bears is in place. The trail will continue to grow as more businesses and community spaces join the project.
